A Busy Week on the Web

And technology marches on….

  • Adobe released a beta of Photoshop CS3, with numerous improvements to the user interface that I’ve been enjoying. (You can get a user/pass at bugmenot if you want to try it out).
  • Mozilla Thunderbird also received a much-needed GUI makeover as well as some important new features (tagging among them) in the first beta release of the upcoming 2.0
  • Digg.com has been completely redesigned again. I’m hoping the increased page-width devoted to comments helps change the climate of one-line “pwnt!” posts and encourages actual thinking-before-posting ala slashdot…. but my hopes are low for now.
  • Even Firefox has released a minor revision addressing 183 bugs identified in the initial 2.0 version. Way to go Mozilla!
  • Communications problems during the rollout of the new ebaydig dot com have left the site facing up to weeks of downtime. But just between you and me….a mirror of the pre-2.0 (lame) application can be found here.
